John S. Anastasi’s I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan begins off-Broadway preview performances on July 15 at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row. The limited engagement production, starring Home Improvement alum Patricia Richardson and Broadway vet P.J. Benjamin, will open on July 30 and end its run on August 25.
Joining Richardson and Benjamin in the Charles Abbott-directed production are Robert Emmet Lunney and Danielle Faitelson. I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan centers on air traffic controller Ray Deluso (Benjamin), who has everything under control at work. But on the ground, his life is a struggle after a rebellious political decision in the early 1980s. Twenty years later, pride, anger, and obsession threaten the only things that matter to him: his wife and daughter. Can Ray find forgiveness and gain control, even if it means letting go?
The creative team includes Craig Napoliello (scenic design), Kristy Leigh Hall (costume design), Jeffrey Koger (lighting design), Jason Crystal (sound design) and David Bengali (projection design).
