Please be advised that Zachary Levi will not appear at this performance! The Chuck star made his Broadway debut last week in the hilarious new musical comedy First Date, but due to a prior commitment at Comic-Con in San Diego (in support of his group Nerd Machine), Levi will step out of the show for the week of July 16-21. Standby Eric Ankrim will take over the role of Aaron, and it’s a perfect match since Ankrim originated the role in First Date’s premiere run in Seattle last year. In the wickedly funny video below, Ankrim enlists the help of Levi, Krysta Rodriguez and the rest of the cast (as well as producer Kenny Alhadeff) to announce the news—in rap form, of course. Check out the Broadway.com exclusive, and check out Ankrim’s Broadway bow in the not-to-be-missed musical First Date while Levi gets back in touch with his geek roots at Comic-Con. (He'll be back July 23.)
