The Fab Four returns! Let It Be, a Broadway musical featuring over 20 of The Beatles’ greatest hits, begins performances on July 16 at Broadway’s St. James Theatre. The production stars Graham Alexander, John Brosnan, Ryan Coath, James Fox, Reuven Gershon, Chris McBurney, Luke Roberts, Ryan Alex Farmery, John Korba and Daniel A. Weiss. Featuring musical supervision and direction by John Maher, opening night is set for July 24.
Born as a West End tribute to celebrate the iconic band’s 50th anniversary, Let It Be uses video footage to tell the story of the band’s rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the height of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces. Let It Be continues to run at the Savoy Theatre in London. The production is packed with classic Beatles’ tunes including “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Day Tripper,” “Strawberry Fields Forever,” “When I’m 64,” “Hello Goodbye,” “Get Back,” and early hits like “Twist and Shout” and “She Loves You.”
Let It Be includes scenic design by Tim McQuillen-Wright, lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design by Gareth Owen, video design by Duncan McLean, costume supervision by Jack Galloway and technical supervision by Arthur Siccardi and Pat Sullivan.
