The 20th anniversary revival of Elizabeth Fuller’s Me and Jezebel begins performances at the Snapple Theater Center on July 17. Starring Fuller as herself and Kelly Moore in drag as screen icon Bette Davis, the comedy officially opens off-Broadway July 24.
On May 28, 1985, star-struck Elizabeth Fuller’s dream came true when the legendary Bette Davis came to dinner at her dilapidated New England cottage. Four weeks later, as a hotel strike in New York raged on, she was still there. In one short month Davis conquered suburbia, took over the Fullers’ home and changed their life forever.
After premiering at off-Broadway’s Actors Playhouse in 1994, Me and Jezebel has received productions all over the world, including Prague, Slovakia, Munich, Edinburgh, Warsaw, Athens, Sydney, Melbourne and Brazil. Mark S. Graham directs the current off-Broadway revival.
