Faith Prince returns to the Broadway stage in a role practically tailor made to her Tony-winning talents: Miss Hannigan. Prince joins the company of the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning revival of Annie at the Palace Theatre beginning July 19.
Prince won a Tony Award in 1992 for her performance as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. She was also nominated for her performances in A Catered Affair, Bells Are Ringing and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. Her additional stage credits include The King and I, Noises Off, The Little Mermaid, Nick and Nora, Falsettoland and Billy Elliot.
Inspired by the famous comic strip Little Orphan Annie, the features music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and a book by Thomas Meehan. The production, helmed by James Lapine, opened on November 8. Tony winner Katie Finneran and Emmy winner Jane Lynch have previously played the role of Miss Hannigan in this production.
