Avenue Q is celebrating a big birthday next week! Exactly a decade ago, on July 31, Broadway audiences learned some important lessons (like “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist” and “The Internet Is for Porn”) for the first time. In honor of the 10-year anniversary of the Tony-winning musical, we’ve been reminiscing about all of the awesome friends we’ve met, from furry vixen Lucy the Slut to down-on-his-luck building super Gary Coleman.
