The company of Paul Manuel Kane’s comedy Dancing on Nails had a reason to bust a move on July 24: opening night! The new play, directed by Allen Lewis Rickman, officially opened at Theatre 80, and first-nighters included Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire Emmy nominee Dominic Chianese and Broadway’s own funny lady Jackie Hoffman. The show about the relationship between a 52-year-old Jewish man and his 23-year-old African-American employee stars Boardwalk Empire’s Peter Van Wagner and Jazmyn Richardson, respectively. After the performance, the cast, creators and guests came together to enjoy a proper opening night bash. Dancing on Nails continues off-Broadway through August 29.
