James Lapine’s Broadway.com Audience Choice-winning revival of Annie welcomes two new stars on July 30, Taylor Richardson and Sadie Sink. The young actress will alternate the title role in the musical and play the role of orphan Duffy when not starring as Annie.
In addition to Richardson and Sink, the production also welcomes a new batch of orphans, including Gaby Bradbury (Pepper), Amaya Braganza (July), Tyrah Skye Odoms (Tessie), Brooklyn Shuck (Kate) and Skye Alyssa Friedman (standby for the roles of Duffy, Pepper, July and Tessie). Young scene-stealer Emily Rosenfeld continues in the role of Molly.
Annie stars Tony winner Faith Prince as Miss Hannigan, Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks, Brynn O’Malley as Grace Farrell, Clarke Thorell as Rooster Hannigan, J. Elaine Marcos as Lily St. Regis and Sunny the dog as Sandy.
Richardson originated the role of Duffy in the Broadway revival of Annie and has been understudying departing star Lilla Crawford in the role of Annie. Her regional credits include White Christmas and Honk! Sink made her Broadway debut as the standby for Molly, Kate, Tessie, July and Duffy. Her regional credits include Annie, White Christmas, Miracle Worker and The Secret Garden. The Texas native was announced to star in the Broadway-bound musical adaptation of Tuck Everlasting.
