An emotional Lea Michele thanked fans for "all of their love and support" as she accepted the Choice TV Actress: Comedy Award for her work on the FOX TV series Glee. The Teen Choice Awards ceremony on August 11 marked Michele's first public appearance since the death of her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, on July 13. Michele, a Broadway vet, dedicated her award to Monteith: "Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world and I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory. For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love we’re going to get through this together." The fifth season of Glee premieres on FOX on September 26.
