Alec Baldwin and Wife Hilaria Celebrate the Birth of Daughter Carmen

Stage and screen star Alec Baldwin and his yoga instructor wife, Hilaria, welcomed daughter Carmen Gabriela on August 23. Dubbing the baby “absolutely perfect” in a Twitter post shortly after giving birth, the 29-year-old new mom and her 55-year-old husband returned to their Manhattan home with their newborn daughter on August 25.

“Since giving birth, the word ‘love’ has taken on a whole new meaning,” Hilaria tweeted on August 26. “Its depth and intensity are overwhelming in the most welcome way.” The new dad is also the father of fledgling model Ireland, his 17-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Baldwin most recently starred in the Broadway revival of Orphans and has appeared on Broadway in Twentieth Century, A Streetcar Named Desire, Serious Money and Loot. His off-Broadway credits include Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Trumbo, Macbeth and Prelude to a Kiss. An Emmy winner for playing Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, Baldwin can currently be seen on the big screen as Cate Blanchett’s ex-husband in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine.
