Estelle Parsons and Stephen Spinella Shine Bright at D.C. Opening of Broadway-Bound The Velocity of Autumn

After delaying plans to open on Broadway earlier this year, The Velocity of Autumn seems to be speeding its way to New York City. Tony winner Stephen Spinella and Oscar winner Estelle Parsons have teamed up for what is billed as a "pre-Broadway engagement" of Eric Coble's biting drama at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C through October 20. Both stage vets are making their Arena Stage debuts in the play, which finds 79-year-old Alexandra (Parsons) locking herself in her Brooklyn brownstone only to have her solitude disturbed when her estranged son (Spinella) climbs through the window.
