A Time to Kill on Broadway will now come to order! The new stage adaptation of John Grisham’s bestselling novel begins performances September 28 at the John Golden Theatre. Directed by Ethan McSweeny and featuring a stage adaptation by Rupert Holmes, the new courtroom drama features Sebastian Arcelus and Patrick Page as two lawyers who go head-to-head to fight for justice.

Set in Ford County, Mississippi, the legal thriller tells the story of Jake Brigance (Arcelus), an idealistic young lawyer who decides to defend Carl Lee Hailey, a black man who takes the law into his own hands when a gruesome crime is committed against his daughter. When Brigance finds himself fighting against the formidable district attorney, Rufus Buckley, the entire town is thrown into upheaval.
