You’ve got one more week to get schooled by Tony winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson! The New York premiere of playwright August Wilson’s How I Learned What I Learned has extended before opening at off-Broadway’s Pershing Square Signature Center. The production, which was originally slated to end December 15, will now play through December 22. How I Learned What I Learned begins performances on November 5, with an official opening night on November 24.
Directed and co-conceived by long-time Wilson collaborator Todd Kreidler, the solo show will star Santiago-Hudson. The Signature Theatre Company production shares stories of the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's first few jobs, a stint in jail, his first kiss, his foray into cinema and the friends he has had for his entire life.
The How I Learned What I Learned creative team includes scenic and projection designer David Gallo, artistic advisor and costume designer Constanza Romero, lighting designer Thom Weaver and sound designer Dan Moses Schreier.
