Court is now officially in session! The new stage adaptation of John Grisham’s bestselling novel A Time to Kill opens October 20 at the Golden Theatre. Directed by Ethan McSweeny, the new drama adapted by Rupert Holmes features Sebastian Arcelus and Patrick Page as two lawyers who go head-to-head to fight for justice and John Douglas Thompson as a man who takes the law into his own hands.

Set in Ford County, Mississippi, A Time to Kill tells the story of idealistic lawyer Jake Brigance (Arcelus), who agrees to represent Carl Lee Hailey, a father who is put on trial for murdering the two men who commit an unspeakable crime against his daughter. As Brigance delves deeper into the court case, he becomes embroiled in a heated debate that shakes the entire town and puts his family in danger.
