It may be cooling off outside, but it’s sizzling hot inside the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, whereBetrayal stars Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Rafe Spall are embroiled in a seven-year-long love triangle. Directed by Mike Nichols, Harold Pinter’s 1978 play tells the story of Emma, who, unbeknownst to her husband Robert, is carrying on an affair with his best friend Jerry. Scandalous! And did we mention that Craig and Weisz are also husband and wife in real life? Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson sketched a sexy portrait of Spall as Jerry, Weisz as Emma and Craig as Robert. Check out Squigs’ masterpiece, then see the high-profile cast in the flesh, through January 5, 2014.
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
