Grab your rope and your candlestick, because the zany musical comedy Murder For Two has been extended at off-Broadway’s New World Stages before its official opening night. Originally scheduled to play through January 5, 2014, the dangerously funny musical is now slated to run through March 16. Directed by Scott Schwartz, Murder For Two stars Jeff Blumenkrantz and Brett Ryback.
Featuring a book by Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair, music by Kinosian and lyrics by Blair, Murder For Two combines classic musical comedy with a dash of Agatha Christie. Everyone is a suspect in this house of eccentric characters (all played by Blumenkrantz), and a rookie cop posing as a detective (Blumenkrantz) must get down to the bottom the crime. Plus, both actors play the piano!
Murder For Two features set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Andrea Laurer, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Jill BC DuBoff.
