Once Upon a Time in New York City, a benefit concert featuring new material from established and emerging songwriters celebrating the city of New York, will make its 54 Below debut on November 19. For the concert, which will benefit The Actors Fund, musical theater writers will premiere new songs about the ups and downs of NYC life.
Once Upon a Time will feature performances from Jeremy Jordan (Newsies), Katie Thompson (Giant), Dennis Michael Keefe, Lewis Grosso (Newsies), Bonnie Milligan, Mike Rosengarten, George Salazar (Godspell), Jahn Sood and Sam Tedaldi. A full roster of which stage stars will be on-hand to warble about The Big Apple will be announced at a later date.
Contributing composers will include Thompson (R.R.R.E.D.), Jeff Bowen (Now Here This), Carmel Dean and Sarah Underwood, David Kirshenbaum (Vanities), Lauren Marcus, Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting), Eric Price, Will Reynolds (The Greenwood Tree), Rob Rokicki (Strange Tails), Louis St. Louis (Grease 2) and more.
