Jeremy Yuricek, one of the creative forces who launched and shaped Broadway.com, died on November 5 after a brief hospital stay. He was 35.
Yuricek joined the Broadway.com team in 2000, shortly after graduating from Florida Atlantic University, first working as a designer in the company’s Boca Raton office. He eventually moved to New York City to be a part of the website’s Times Square headquarters, where he was promoted to the role of Creative Director. He was an integral part of the core Broadway.com team until 2008, when he left to become Director of Digital Production for the ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
With his company electrocinema, Yuricek also worked in video production, motion graphics and interactive projects. He continued to develop creative pieces for many Broadway clients after leaving Broadway.com.
"The Broadway.com team is devastated by the sudden loss of one of our original family members," said Editor-in-Chief Paul Wontorek. "He will forever be remembered for his extraordinary vision, cool demeanor and sly humor."
Yuricek is survived by his wife, Ana Marroquin Yuricek, and daughters Olivia and Sofia.
