There’s something seriously creepy going on at The Jacksonian, opening November 7 at off-Broadway’s Acorn Theatre on Theatre Row. Helmed by Robert Falls, the New Group production’s all-star cast features real-life husband and wife Ed Harris and Amy Madigan, Bill Pullman and more. The Jacksonian will play a limited off-Broadway engagement through December 22.
The Jacksonian features Harris as Bill Perch, Pullman as Fred Weber, Madigan as Susan Perch, Glenne Headly as Eva White and Juliet Brett as Rosy Perch. The eerie drama tells the story of Bill (Harris), a dentist who moves into the rundown Jacksonian Motel after having an argument with his wife. His downward spiral is punctuated by his awkward teenage daughter (Brett), an odd bartender (Pullman) and his estranged wife (Madigan). Revolving around the night of a murder, The Jacksonian unearths the eerie tensions and madness in a town poisoned by racism.
The creative team features set designer Walt Spangler, costume designer Ana Kuzmanic, lighting designer Dan Ionazzi and composer and sound designer Richard Woodbury.
