Tony nominees Christiane Noll and Tom Wopat, along with Broadway faves Ashley Brown and Darius de Haas will celebrate and perform the legendary music of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II during three performances at 54 Below. The Sound of Their Music: Rodgers & Hammerstein will be presented on December 15, January 19, 2014, and February 16 at the Times Square hotspot.
Featuring music direction by Andy Einhorn (Cinderella), The Sound of Their Music will highlight songs from some of Rodgers & Hammerstein's most iconic Broadway scores, including Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music.
Noll received a Tony nomination for her performance in Ragtime. Her other Broadway credits include Jekyll & Hyde, It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues and Chaplin. Wopat recently appeared in The Trip to Bountiful and received Tony nods for his work in Annie Get Your Gun and A Catered Affair. His other Broadway credits include City of Angels, Guys and Dolls, Chicago and Catch Me If You Can. Brown starred in the title role of Mary Poppins and played Belle in Beauty and the Beast. de Haas' Broadway credits include Kiss of the Spider Woman, Carousel and Rent.
