A delightful double feature is thrilling Shakespeare fans at Broadway’s Belasco Theatre! Two-time Tony winner Mark Rylance leads the all-male cast of Twelfth Night and Richard III, being performed in rep in a style the Bard would appreciate. Broadway.com resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson savored both plays, then penned what he correctly calls “a doozy” of a portrait with two images of Rylance (top and bottom), two of Samuel Barnett (left and right), plus doubles of Paul Chahidi, Liam Brennan, Joseph Timms, and Angus Wright. At top right is Stephen Fry, who appears in Twelfth Night only, and surrounding the main images, look for Colin Hurley, Peter Hamilton Dyer, Hayden Signoretti and Matthew Schechter. Intrigued? See the plays live, and thrill to great classical acting on Broadway!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
