Public Theater's Fun Home to Release Original Cast Album Featuring Michael Cerveris and Judy Kuhn

The new critically acclaimed musical Fun Home, which is nearing the end of its run at off-Broadway's Public Theater, will be preserved with an original cast album featuring the show’s sweeping score by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron.

On February 18, 2014, PS Classics will release the album, which will boast the vocal talents of Fun Home's top-notch cast, including Tony winner Michael Cerveris, Tony nominee Judy Kuhn, Beth Malone, Sydney Lucas, Alexandra Socha, Griffin Birney, Roberta Colindrez, Noah Hinsdale and Joel Perez.

Based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, Fun Home charts a girl’s quest to come to terms with her father’s unexpected death. As she moves between past and present, Alison dives into the story of her volatile, brilliant father and relives her unique childhood at her family’s funeral home.

The cast album will be produced by PS Classics co-founder Tommy Krasker. Fun Home, which features direction by Sam Gold, ends its extended run at the Public on December 29.
