Get ready to Gleek out! Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy announced via his Twitter account today that he has invited the original cast to appear in the highly anticipated 100th episode of the musical comedy series.
Murphy's Twitter feed declared, "ALL The Glee Originals received invites today to be in our 100th episode! More to follow."
Cast members who are no longer with the show include Amber Riley (Mercedes), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum Jr (Mike Chang), Mark Salling (Puck), Jayma Mays (Emma), Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Bieste), Mike O’Malley (Burt Hummel) and Romy Rosemont (Carole Hudson-Hummel). Many of these actors returned to the series for the Corey Monteith tribute episode after the actor’s untimely death this fall.
The show had previously announced their 100th episode would also encompass ten songs voted on by fans from a choice of 30 songs, including favorites performed during the series such as “Somebody to Love," “Raise Your Glass” and “Sweet Caroline.”
The 100th episode comes soon after Murphy’s official announcement of the completion of the series finale following the sixth season, despite rumors of a Lea Michele Glee spinoff.
