A haunting new production of Macbeth is casting its spell over Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater, starring Tony and Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke as the titular monarch and Anne-Marie Duff as Lady Macbeth. Broadway.com resident artist Justin "Squigs" Robertson witnessed director Jack O'Brien's interpretation, then sketched a bloody terrifying portrait of Hawke and Duff, along with supporting players Malcolm Gets, John Glover and Byron Jennings as the three gender-bending witches, Tony winner Richard Easton as Duncan, Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James as Banquo and Tony nominee Daniel Sunjata as Macduff. Check out Squigs’ take on the The Scottish Play, then catch Macbeth on Broadway!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
