You'll be slamming it to the left while having a good time and shaking it to the right while feeling fine! It doesn't matter if you're scary, sporty, posh, a baby or a ginger, all that matters is that handful of young Broadway stars, including Newsies' Kara Lindsay, Spider-Man's Jason Gotay and First Date's Kate Loprest, will lend their powerful vocal chops to Broadway Loves the Spice Girls, a one-night-only concert at 54 Below on January 13, 2014.
Directed by Kyle Fox, the event will feature songs from the Spice Girl's catalogue, with music direction by Benjamin Rauhala. Some of the British girl group's biggest hits include "Wannabe," Say You'll Be There," "2 Becomes 1," Who Do You Think You Are," "Spice Up Your Life," "Viva Forever" and "Goodbye." Who do you think you are? Some kind of superstar? Nope, you're a Broadway and Spice Girls fan who'll be smilin' and dancin' all night.
In addition to Lindsay, Gotay and Loprest, the other Spice Girls wannabes will include Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage aux Folles), Darren Bluestone (Avenue Q), Ariana DeBose (Motown The Musical), Hannah Elless (Godspell), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), Sabrina Harper (Pippin), Elizabeth Judd (Spider-Man), Alice Lee (Spring Awakening), Julia Mattison, Gabrielle McClinton, Lesley McKinnell, Emily McNamara, Bethany Moore, Tess Soltau (The Addams Family), Stephanie Umoh (Ragtime) and Barrett Wilbert Weed (Lysistrata Jones).
