Funny lady and Broadway scene-stealer, Jackie Hoffman is returning to Joe’s Pub at The Public! Hebe for the Holidays will play December 20 through December 24. Directed by Michael Schiralli, the production will feature musical direction by Bobby Peaco.
In the new show, Twitter, the Hamptons and America's obsession with guns have entered Hoffman's world, and she's not having it one bit. Other topics touched upon include what happens to a Jewish, straight woman on a gay cruise during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and how an unwanted aging actress survives in a New York overtaken by billionaire toddlers. If you want the perfect antidote to the global conversation of love, then Hoffman is on hand to suck the joy out of your holiday season with an evening of anger and song.
Hoffman most recently appeared on Broadway in The Addams Family as Grandma. Her additional Broadway credits include Xanadu and Hairspray. Off-Broadway the Second City alum has appeared in Regrets Only, Pride & Joy, Book of Liz and Straight Jacket. The comedian’s film and TV credits include Garden State, Legally Blonde II, Kissing Jessica Stein, 30 Rock and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Hoffman is well known for her popular solo shows at Joe’s Pub.
