Your Turn, Heather! Tickets Now Available for the Off-Broadway Premiere of Heathers the Musical

Tickets are now on sale for Heathers the Musical. The musical adaptation of the cult film features a book, music and lyrics by Tony nominee Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde) and Emmy winner Kevin Murphy (Reefer Madness). Heathers the Musical will begin performances March 15 at New World World Stages, with opening night is set for March 31.

The new production will be directed by Andy Fickman with choreography by Emmy winner Marguerite Derricks. In Heathers, Westerberg High is terrorized by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing junta: Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. But outsider Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark sexy stranger J.D., who plans to put the Heathers in their place—six feet under.

The musical premiered at Los Angeles’ Hudson Backstage Theatre in August 2013. Casting has yet not been announced.
