Come to the cabaret! Cafe Carlyle's Winter 2014 season will include Tony winners Sutton Foster and John Lloyd Young, as well as debuts by Nellie McKay, Maude Maggart and composer Frank Wildhorn, performing his songs with Clint Holmes and Jane Monheit. More artists will be announced at a later date.
From January 14 through 24, Broadway bound Violet star Foster (Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek, Bunheads) will make a highly anticipated return to open the winter season at Cafe Carlyle.
Following Foster, Clint Holmes and Jane Monheit take the stage January 28 through February 1 in a new show featuring the music of Grammy- and Tony Award-nominated composer/producer Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll and Hyde), who will perform with the singers.
Jersey Boys original star John Lloyd Young launches a new show February 4 through 15, followed by Nellie McKay (The Threepenny Opera, Old Hats) February 18 through 23. Fiona Apple’s sister Maude Maggart makes her Café debut February 25 through March 1.
John Pizzarelli returns March 17 through 29 to premiere a concert of bossa nova music featuring the Brazilian singer-songwriter and pianist Daniel Jobim, grandson of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Throughout the season, Woody Allen will continue to perform Monday nights with the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band.
