Twelfth Night star Stephen Fry has been tapped to play a recurring role on Fox’s upcoming event series 24: Live Another Day. According to Deadline, Fry will play British Prime Minister Trevor Davies, a compelling leader whose allegiance with the U.S. and their president itself comes under incredible scrutiny because of private and political crisis. 24: Live Another Day is expected to premiere on May 5.
24: Live Another Day, the next chapter in the 24 franchise starring Kiefer Sutherland, is set four years after the events of the final season of the hit TV series. The 12 part series will find Jack Bauer (Sutherland) on the run in London. The episodes are expected to somewhat incorporate 24's real-time concept.
Fry is an actor, comedian and writer. Twelfth Night marks his Broadway debut. Notable screen credits include Kingdom, Bones, Wilde, Blackadder, A Fish Called Wanda and V for Vendetta. He spent much of his early career as one half of the comedy duo Fry & Laurie with House alum Hugh Laurie.
