They're At It Again! TV Series The Comedians, Starring Josh Gad and Billy Crystal, Picked Up by FX

It looks like Broadway wise guys Josh Gad and Billy Crystal will be making us laugh yet again! The pilot for the Crystal and Gad driven series The Comedians has been picked up by FX for a 13-episode series order, according to Variety.

As previously reported, Crystal will play a veteran comedian (we wonder where he’ll draw inspiration from) who is reluctantly paired with an edgy up-and-coming star (Gad). The series is on target to premiere in 2015.

Gad, whose film career has taken off with credits including Frozen, Jobs and Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here, received a Tony nod for his breakout performance as Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon. Crystal most recently appeared on Broadway last year in the return of his Tony Award-winning one-man show 700 Sundays.
