Oscar winners Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez (you might just have heard of their Frozen song, “Let It Go”), along with Cinderella’s Fran Drescher, will announce the nominations for the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards. The event will take place on April 25 at 11:00 AM at Times Square hotspot 54 Below. The awards will be held on June 1, hosted by Laura Benanti.
Christopher Durang to Star as his Own Vanya
Christopher Durang, who wrote the Tony-winning Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, is set to star in an upcoming production of the comedy at the Bucks County Playhouse. The play will run July 17 through August 10, with Durang playing Vanya, the role originated by David Hyde Pierce, and Marilu Henner appearing as Masha, who was played on and off-Broadway by Sigourney Weaver.

Laura Benanti was recently put on the spot by Out.com in a game of F**k/Marry/Kill with her TV co-stars Josh Charles (The Good Wife), Matthew Perry (Go On) and Danny Pino (Law & Order: SVU). “I can’t say “kill Matthew Perry,” I’ll never work again," said the Tony winner. "F**k Matthew Perry, marry Josh Charles and kill Danny Pino—but only as my character because our characters are divorced and we hate each other right now."
