After swindling Broadway audiences in 2005, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is heading to London to trick a whole new flock of unsuspecting theatergoers! Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the musical adaptation of the 1988 film tells the story of Lawrence Jameson and Freddy Benson, two sneaky con artists who attempt to hoodwink a millionaire heiress in the French Riviera. The new production stars Tony and Olivier Award winner Robert Lindsay as Jameson and comedian Rufus Hound as Benson. Featuring music and lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by Jeffrey Lane, the new West End mounting opens April 2 at the West End’s Savoy Theatre. Happy opening night, Scoundrels—may your evening be filled with endless champagne, piles of money and lots of “Great Big Stuff!"
