Let Sutton Foster sing! The Roundabout production of Jeanine Tesori and Brian Crawley’s Violet opens officially on April 20, directed by Leigh Silverman.
To celebrate, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson sketched this portrait of two-time Tony winner Foster as Violet, Alexander Gemignani as Father, Colin Donnell as Monty and Joshua Henry as Flick. Additional cast members include Emerson Steele, Charlie Pollock, Ben Davis, Annie Golden, Anastaćia McCleskey and Rema Webb.
Broadway.com wishes the company of Violet a very happy opening. Whether you're in Spruce Pine, Tulsa or anywhere in between, hop on a bus and catch the tuner at the American Airlines Theatre!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
