The world premiere of Found, a new musical featuring a book by Tony nominee Hunter Bell and Lee Overtree and a score by Eli Bolin, will kick off Atlantic Theater Company's 2014-15 season. The musical, directed by Overtree, will begin performances on September 18 and open on October 14. Casting and additional creative team will be announced later.
The musical, based on the Found books and magazines by Davy Rothbart, explores the surprising and eccentric discarded notes and letters that have been found in the real world by everyday people. The show follows Davy and his two best friends who find themselves on a wild, comedic journey after he finds a revealing note on his windshield meant for someone else.
Bell received a Tony nomination for the book of [title of show]. His additional writing credits include Now. Here. This., Silence! The Musical and Ringling Circus’ Bellobration!. Overtree and Bolin serve as the artistic director and music director of Story Pirates, respectively, a group that performs songs and sketches adapted from the creative writing of children across the country.
