After everything James Franco has put himself through over these past few months, you know what the Of Mice and Men star needs? A documentary following his every move. According to The Wrap, Franco: A Documentary is currently in the early editing stages. Lisa Vangellow makes her directorial debut with the project that follows a year in the professional and personal life of the Oscar nominee, including his Broadway debut in the classic John Steinbeck play.
Franco: A Documentary began filming in June of 2013 and will focus on the actor’s involvement in the art world, his film career as actor and director and his turn on the Great White Way. Hopefully, we'll get a look into the rehearsal process and the backstage hijinks with Franco and his Of Mice and Men costars Chris O'Dowd and Leighton Meester. The film will reportedly include appearances by Franco’s family and friends, including Seth Rogen and Museum of Modern Art curator Klaus Biesenbach.
What else might the documentary touch upon? Nothing’s certain yet, but no Franco feature would be complete without a plethora of questionable selfies, a social media hookup faux pas or some quality time with Gaga.
