James Earl Jones, Cynthia Nixon, Steven Pasquale, Michael Cerveris, Sarah Amengual, Colman Domingo, Michael Stuhlbarg and more stage favorites will celebrate Shakespeare at a Public Forum in Central Park on June 30. Highlights of the Public Theater’s evening will include Jones reading a scene from Othello and Pasquale singing Tony in the “Tonight” duet from West Side Story. Public Forum: Shakespeare in America will take place at the Delacorte Theater.

Susan Boyle's 'Open' to Broadway Offers 
Susan Boyle, whose 2009 rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” on Britain’s Got Talent helped kick-off Les Miz’s current renaissance, would consider starring on the Great White Way. "The sky's the limit. I'm open to offers," Boyle told USA Today.

Stage Adaptation of Avatar is in the Works
Filmmaker James Cameron and Cirque du Soleil are teaming up to create a live arena show inspired by the hit movie Avatar. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the production will tour the world from late 2015.

Broadway contributed nearly $12 Billion to New York City during the 2012-13 season, up by 2% from the previous season. According to the Broadway League, the Great White Way supported more than 87,000 jobs and generated half a billion dollars in taxes for the Big Apple.
