Phantom's Norm Lewis, Beautiful Tony Winner Jessie Mueller & More Join Broadway Barks Lineup

The Phantom of the Opera headliner Norm Lewis and Beautiful Tony winner Jessie Mueller are about to get up close and personal with some of the cutest and cuddliest creatures ever seen at Shubert Alley. The two are among the latest Great White Way favorites to join the already starry lineup of the 16th annual pet adoption event Broadway Barks on July 12. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by the ASPCA, Broadway Barks benefits New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies.

Additional celebrity participants added to the afternoon are Broadway dog trainer Bill Berloni, Wicked’s P.J. Benjamin, Buyer and Cellar star Barrett Foa, Les Miserables’ Keala Settle and Bill Heck of Cabaret. Previously announced guests include Lady Day Tony winner Audra McDonald, Les Miz' Will Swenson and Bebe Neuwirth.

The fun begins at 3 PM, with celebrity presentations of the animals beginning at 5 PM.
