Mala Hierba Playwright Tanya Saracho Gets Opening Night Love From Jonathan Groff & the Stars of Looking

Stars flocked to Second Stage Uptown’s McGinn/Cazale Theatre on July 28 to catch the opening night performance of Mala Hierba—including (from left) Raul Castillo, Murray Bartlett and Jonathan Groff of HBO’s Looking! Tanya Saracho, who wrote both the new off-Broadway drama and several episodes of the hit series, was proud to have the stars on hand during her big night. Directed by Jerry Ruiz, Mala Hierba features Roberta Colindrez, Sandra Marquez, Marta Milans and Ana Nogueira in a drama about the trophy wife of a Texas border magnate who dares to unleash her true desires.
