Follow, follow, follow Broadway.com Resident Artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson to the Snapple Center to pen a whimsical portrait of the hit musical The Fantasticks! The world’s longest running musical tells the story of Matt (Max Crumm, right), a lovestruck boy who falls head over heels for Louisa (Samantha Bruce, left). Squigs caught a recent performance of the romantic tale, then sketched Crumm, Bruce and the rest of the cast, including Michael Sharon, Dan Sharkey, Kevin R. Free, MacIntyre Dixon, Michael Nostrand and Pierce Cravens. Check out Squigs’ latest work of art, then see the love story unfold off-Broadway.
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
