Former Wicked Star Lindsay Mendez to Appear in Musical Adaptation of The Winter's Tale

Lindsay Mendez will join her previously reported fellow Wicked alum Christopher Fitzgerald, along with David Turner, Isaiah Johnson, Danny Williams and Todd Almond, in a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. Conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet, with music and lyrics by Almond, the free Public Theater three-night civic event will run September 5 through September 7 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

The community-based Public Works production will also feature over 200 New Yorkers from all five boroughs and cameo group performances by Sesame Street, New York Theatre Ballet, Rosie’s Theater Kids and more.

Scenic design will be by Justin Townsend, with lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, costume design by Paul Carey and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.
