We’re gonna be honest: Things around the Broadway.com offices have gotten really boring the last few weeks. It’s sweltering, it’s humid, and worst of all, no new Broadway shows open until after Labor Day. But never fear, dear readers, we’ve got a great way to spice up the month of August: Broadway.com Summer Camp! Parker, who submitted this campy gem: “In this scene from a 1970s Sesame Street Christmas special,” Parker writes, “The gang, along with special friends Leslie Uggams and Imogene Coca, find themselves down in the dumps because of Oscar the Grouch. It seems that all hope is lost, but then a true Christmas miracle happens: Ethel Merman arrives, and raises their spirits with a rousing rendition of 'Tomorrow' from the musical Annie. And, as a bonus, we get Ethel telling Imogene that she looks like an idiot.”
