Tickets are now available to see Lillias White and S. Epatha Merkerson in Billy Porter’s While I Yet Live off-Broadway. The Tony-winning star of Kinky Boots’ play will be directed by Sheryl Kaller and run for a limited engagement September 23 through October 31. The world premiere's opening night is set for October 12 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street.
While I Yet Live follows the story of a young man’s coming of age in Pittsburgh amongst a bevy of fascinating and strong-willed women. Along with Tony winner White (The Life) and two-time Tony nominee and Emmy winner Merkerson (Come Back, Little Sheba, The Piano Lesson, Law & Order), the cast will feature Elain Graham (Smash), Sheria Irving (Romeo & Juliet), Kevyn Morrow (Dreamgirls), Larry Powell (Broke-ology) and Sharon Washington (The Scottsboro Boys).
The production will have set design by James Noone, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Kevin Adams, sound design by Leon Rothenberg and original music by Jerome Kirkland, Jr.
