Mitchell Jarvis, who originated the role of mullet-rocking nunchuck-wielding narrator Lonny Barnett in Rock of Ages, will return to the Broadway production from September 15 as wild aging rock idol Stacee Jaxx. He succeeds Joey Calveri in the role.
Jarvis made his Broadway debut in Fiddler on the Roof. Other stage credits include Threepenny Opera, The Rocky Horror Show and The Toxic Avenger. Additionally, It Could Be Worse, the comedic web series that he co-penned with fellow Rock of Ages original cast member Wesley Taylor, was recently picked up by Hulu for its second season.
Featuring a score of such classic rock hits as "Here I Go Again," “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, an aspiring rock star who moves to Los Angeles to make his dreams come true. Jarvis joins a cast that includes original star Constantine Maroulis, Carrie St. Louis, Joey Calveri, Adam Dannheisser, Genson Blimline, Josephine Rose Roberts, Cody Scott Lancaster, Paul Schoeffler and Teresa Stanley.
