Walter Anderson's Almost Home, Starring Tony Winner Karen Ziemba, Begins Previews Off-Broadway

Walter Anderson's new drama Almost Home begins previews off-Broadway on September 12. Starring Tony winner Karen Ziemba, along with Joe Lisi, James McCaffrey, Jonny Orsini and Brenda Pressley, the production will play through October 12 at the Acorn Theatre on Theatre Row. Opening night is set for September 18.

In the turbulent sixties, a young Marine returns home to the Bronx, shaken but hopeful for the future. Met by a mother fighting to keep the family going and a father down on his luck, Johnny finds himself caught between his parents’ dreams for his future and a police captain with plans of his own.

Directed by Michael Parva, Almost Home will feature set design by Harry Feiner, lighting design by Graham Kindred, costume design by Michael McDonald, sound design by Quentin Chiappetta and Hair/Wig Design by Leah J. Loukas.
