Dave Stewart's Zombie Broadway Eyeing the Big Screen
Sweet dreams are made of this. The Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart is planning to put horror musical Zombie Broadway on the silver screen. Deadline reports that the adaptation of his 2008 graphic novel will be penned by Cole Haddon and directed by Jonas Akerlund. Apparently it’s a cross between Bullets Over Broadway and Rocky Horror, and follows a group of Great White Way performers who fight zombies using showtunes. Sounds like Times Square on any given day of the week.
Simon Jones Tapped for Blithe Spirit Return

He appeared in both the 2009 Broadway and 2014 West End productions of the show. New U.K. Production of Annie Will Star a Miss Trannigan
Apologies, we’re sure we’re not the first ones to employ a “Miss Trannigan” pun on this news story today. Original Strictly Come Dancing (the British equivalent of Dancing With the Stars) judge Craig Revel Horwood will headline a new production of Annie, playing Miss Hannigan. The musical is set to begin performances on July 11, 2015 at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, before embarking on a year-long tour of the U.K. We're imagining the interpretation will be somewhat of a drag compared to Cameron Diaz's...OK we'll stop being mischievous now. We're sure Mr. Horwood, below as Miss Hannigan, will be excellent in the role—his West End credits include Cats, Miss Saigon and Crazy for You.
