Jeremy Jordan's a Rising Star
Jeremy Jordan has been a star to us for years, but Hollywood is now waking up to his many talents! The Tony nominee is set to receive this year's Napa Valley Film Festival's Rising Star Award after making big waves with, among his many projects, The Last 5 Years movie. Of course, the big question on the Great White Way's mind right now is whether Jordan will end up leading the upcoming Finding Neverland or the Broadway-aimed Ever After. Maybe he'll drop a few clues at his 54 Below solo show later this month. Whatever happens, we know that his star will shine brightly for not just five, but for many more years to come!
The Wind in the Willows Finds Toad, Mole & Ratty
We now know who will be joining narrator Alan Titchmarsh in the West End production of The Wind in the Willows. Martin Harvey will play Ratty, with Cris Penfold as Toad, Ira Mandela Siobhan as Badger and Sonya Cullingford as Mole. The production, directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, makes its return to the West End after an Olivier Award-winning run last Christmas. The show will play a limited engagement at the Vaudeville Theatre from November 26 through January 17, 2015.
John Benjamin Hickey's Hitched to Cate Blanchett
Tony winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart) has been tapped to appear in Truth, the movie about Dan Rather’s fall from grace. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hickey will play the husband of Rather’s producer, played by Cate Blanchett. The star-studded cast also includes Robert Redford, The Heidi Chronicles’ Elisabeth Moss and Topher Grace.
