Sticking to his roots, he popped the question at Disney World, with the ring tucked inside a glass slipper. Here's wishing them happily ever after!
From Bleu to Blue: New Gig for Victor Garber
Broadway vet Victor Garber has landed a guest spot on CBS’ Blue Bloods. According to TVLine, he’ll appear in the November 21 episode as Donald Stein, a New York real estate heir disturbed by a string of murders of fellow prominent Jewish men. If you’ve paying attention to news about Garber, TV guest spots and the surname Stein, you will already know that the Tony nominee will also play the DC Comics character Dr. Martin Stein on an episode of The CW’s The Flash.
Frank Langella Is All-American
In more TV casting news, three-time Tony winner and Oscar nominee Frank Langella will join the cast of The Americans for the show’s third season. The Wrap reports that the stage and screen star will play Gabriel, a former KGB handler who comes out of retirement to direct Philip and Elizabeth (played by Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell.) The FX series returns in January 2015.
Fathom’s Bringing Billy Back
What better way to express yourself than on the big screen? Fathom Events will screen Billy Elliot the Musical Live in movie theaters across the U.S. on November 12, 15 and 18. The West End production was broadcast live from the Victoria Palace Theatre to cinemas around the world on September 28. The performance features original Olivier-winning Billy Liam Mower (now in the role of Older Billy), a special welcome from composer Elton John and a whole lot of former Billys.
