Broadway is about to start seeing double! Erin Davie and Emily Padgett begin performances in the revival of Side Show on October 28 at the St. James Theatre. Bill Condon directs the re-imagined staging of the 1997 musical, which features music by Henry Krieger, book and lyrics by Bill Russell and additional book material by Condon. Opening night is set for November 17.
Based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame during the Depression era, but denies them love. The tuner features songs including “I Will Never Leave You” and “Who Will Love Me As I Am?”
In addition to Davie and Padgett, Side Show stars Ryan Silverman, David St. Louis, Robert Joy, Brandon Bieber, Matthew Patrick Davis, Charity Angel Dawson, Lauren Elder, Javier Ignacio, Jordanna James, Kevin Moon Loh, Barrett Martin, Don Richard, Blair Ross, Hannah Shankman, Josh Walker, Con O’Shea-Creal, Derek Hanson and DeLaney Westfall.
The production previously ran in San Diego and Washington D.C.
