Livin’ La Vida Imelda, which is written and performed by Carlos Celdran, will begin performances on October 31 off-Broadway. Presented by Ma-Yi Theater Company, the production will play in repertory with Chairs and a Long Table at the Clurman Theater at Theatre Row.
Livin’ La Vida Imelda explores cultural sensation that has surrounded the life of Imelda Marcos, the former First Lady of the Philippines. Celdran has performed the solo show at site-specific locations across the Philippines over the years.
The production is directed by Ralph B. Peña and will officially open on November 5.
