He’s headlining The Elephant Man, based on the real life of Joseph Merrick, a British man who became the star of the traveling freak show circuit. OK, before you post on Facebook telling us you’re sick of movie adaptations on Broadway and want something original, hear us out: Cooper has been in some great films that could actually work on stage! Can’t you just imagine an American Hustle musical where they all burst into a jazzed-up rendition of Steely Dan’s “Dirty Work”?
